Surely there is a whole host of other factors that would influence the online experience before this? I mean, if this was around £30, I may give it a try. But as we're at the extreme fringes of broadband reach at home anyway, surely this device would add so little?

And then there's the price........

KDF might be interested to see that it runs a Linux core though. ;)

bypasses the windows network stack?

i'm in way over my head here but i just ca'nt see how it'll improve frame rartes unless it's taking a lot off the cpu by this 'bypass'

anyway i certainly ain't getting one!

And because it does you can do things like..

"Run concurrent in-game applications directly on the card (such as Firewall, BitTorrent, and more)"

Cool as, offload and run your a bittorent server/client directly from the NIC... :approve: strangely enough it doesn't actually say it works with a linux machine though lol

But as stated already, as far as network performance goes all it really does is offload processing to the card.. which is never a big issue really anyway..

Can't see it making any noticeable difference tbh, especially over broadband. And it won't make you aim any better D ;)
