thats a good price! think hillpower does it for round about that too, renault wanted £600 to do mine!

How much would it cost for an RT, a lot more room in the engine etc, just think ill get mine done while my car has its MOT in jan. didnt realise it was that much for a 16v.

I phoned Renault to see how much a 60,000 mile service was, they said £165, then i asked them how much was it to do the timing belt at the same time, they said it cost an extra £350 on top of that £165, I wasnt on the phone long after that lol.

I ended up doing the 60,000 mile service myself pretty much, all new standard brakes, some filters and oil change etc, and got the timing belt an tensioner changed for £105

How comes its so expensive? I just had the belt done on my Volvo and that was £170 inc the tensioner all in.

Would have thought Renault would have been a lot cheaper than £350ish - how comes its so high?

well Renault charge by the hour, they said it would take an extra 3 hours to do the belt.

Thanks but no thanks

Renault chrage £85 often for work.

Also the enignes bays arnt very spacious so you often have to remove mounts to get to the belt.
