how much does it cost to have one of these fitted to the car please? i have seen one on e-bay that needs one and thought i would ask before bidding :rasp:

Clutch is a pain, most garages won't touch one is 8 hours or so to do and there loads of little tricks to do it quicker than Renault say but its still not easy.
Ring round the clutch specialists theyre looking at about £300+ vat including them supplying the clutch so maybe £50 off if you supply. If you can find somoen who knows what there doing and gets you trade prices you can have it done for about £250 cash though.
Whatsever you do make sure you use original Renault park the aftermarket cables snap and fail and strech in heat and aftermarket clutches are usless there to heavy on the foot and no better usualy for torque anyway. Renault cbale is about £15 and you cna do it yourself quite an easy job buy bit limited space the clutch best leave to someone who knows what there doing and loves pain. You can do the clutch cable on your own whevern you want.

I was quoted, from two Renault specialists £550 and £650 for a clutch change in my Williams (same as the 16v).

Clutch specialists will usually be cheaper.. but.. just for a comparison price, ^^ that's what a specialist charges
