New Head Unit - What one

[Little Newms]

I have a 172 Cup, And want a new head unit, the thing is i dont want to spend a shed load of cash on one, and i would like if possible for the colour of it to blend in with the current dash bla bla bla.....

Can any one recomend one?

get pioneer! sonys sh*te (except for fubars, which is lovely) and alpines ugly! imo of course

i got that one which i recommend. everyone ive showed are very very impressed with the graphics.

theres a small clip of an impreza rally style, snowboarders, technical equalizer graphics, just generally a very good head unit for a very good price.

only bad thing i can say about it is it does get hot pretty quickly, but i run amp n sub.

I had PEH7400mp which was ace I stuck with Pioneer and now have a DEH6500dvd which is ace.

Therefore i think Pioneer are ace

go with becker, sound quality is excellent for the price

also look very stock, so wont look out of place like many units (sony especially)

They are mate! Ive had this unit for over a year now! 4x60w, 3 x 4v pre-outs, there isnt many or any HUs ive ever heard off that come anywhere near in terms of power and realiability! My car has been lowered -60mm for over 6 months now and its never ever skipped or missed a beat once!

If youve already got an amp and yore considering spending the sort of money for the Alpines, then it might be worth taking a look at the http://www.caraudiocentre.co.uk/product.asp?product=19819Blaupunkt Woodstock DAB53, which is an MP3/CD player which has 2x4V amp pre-outs and comes with a built-in DAB digital tuner. Only £25 more.

The top one Breaks! Alot!! Mates broke 3 times and last time it was 2 ribbons ( a common fault costing £150 to fix) so he binned it! Second one is awesome however, sisters bf has it and its unusual for Pioneer, theyve gone for sound as opposed to sunbed style displays!
