You will get pulled without a doubt. Its just a matter of time.
Have you had a licence reminder recently? There is a leaflet in there laying down the rules about plate styles and spacing.
This is part of a nationwide campaign to crack down on illegal plates.
You may not get stopped by the Police, but you may well be reported by a traffic warden, VOSA traffic officer, CSO or picked up on an ANPR camera.
The first thing you will know is you will get a £30 fine notice and in the case of a cherished mark you have bought (ie. not the plate that was assigned to the vehicle at first registration) a confiscation notice for the plate.
You will then have to return the V5 within 7 days, destroy the plates, then they will re-assign the original number and your cherished plate will be cancelled. You will not be able to claim back whatever you paid for the mark.
I know someone this happened to recently, he had a plate, J 33 P**. He rather stupidly turned the 33 round so it read JEEP **
He lost the plate which cost him £900.
