Eventually you will come acroos a tosser who will pull you.

theres a guy on here recently done the same thing, no fancy fonts, not a smaller plate, just moved letters like you, hes had a fine!!

Personally, if its easily read.... then leave you alone!

yeh u should be alright 90% of the time... its when you get one of the self rightous pricks, or one who has simply not managed to meet his targets for the day that will pull ya.

still, only 30 quid fine, screw em lol

Da

  Less
I got stung over my plate which was DAZ24 27 instead of DAZ 2427. Full legal font, size and lettering just one space different. It's the ANPR that gets confused with the spacings so you will get pulled, it's just a matter of time!

You will get pulled without a doubt. Its just a matter of time.

Have you had a licence reminder recently? There is a leaflet in there laying down the rules about plate styles and spacing.
This is part of a nationwide campaign to crack down on illegal plates.

You may not get stopped by the Police, but you may well be reported by a traffic warden, VOSA traffic officer, CSO or picked up on an ANPR camera.

The first thing you will know is you will get a £30 fine notice and in the case of a cherished mark you have bought (ie. not the plate that was assigned to the vehicle at first registration) a confiscation notice for the plate.

You will then have to return the V5 within 7 days, destroy the plates, then they will re-assign the original number and your cherished plate will be cancelled. You will not be able to claim back whatever you paid for the mark.

I know someone this happened to recently, he had a plate, J 33 P**. He rather stupidly turned the 33 round so it read JEEP **

He lost the plate which cost him £900.

Thats a brilliant plate, but i think youll get pulled sooner or later.

Im fairly into card tricks myself - a complete amature but enjoy scaring the s**t out of my flatmates. My latest trick is the invisible deck which is proving to be a big hit to anyone i perform it to. Sorry to drag things OT - back to the plate.

deffo getting pulled at some point, get some more plates made where the gap is less so. Still read the same but less obvious.

No it's not, in most cases yes, thats as far as it goes but he doesnt own the plate, nobody with a private/personalised reg does, they just pay for the right to display it, the dvla own it, and can whip it back off you at any time, if they receive a report from the police saying it has been displayed illegaly they can take it off you and you wont receive a penny back for what you paid.

Fact.

Just dont come any where to nottingham though as on the 4x4 i got i had J20 XON and had it spaced like in my picture, just to explain a bit better.
Picture "C" is how i had it when i first got my plate an i got 2 warnings to change it so i did to how i had it in "B" then i got pulld again an done for spacing which was £30 so now im not taking my chances anymore an have to have it the legal way "A" ^^ all that happend within 3 weeks.
Its not worth the risk.
