New To the forum, thinking of buying a 200

Hi that's great thanks.
Whats the mpg like on them?
The one im looking at has 56k miles, has the recall seats and the cup pack, the asking price is 8k is that reasonable?

That 200 looks great, it's got the optional climate control, cup spoiler and RenaultSport skirts.

It says fsh but look for proof that the belts have been changed. They should've been done on that as its over 5 year old and can cost you quite a lot if they snap.

Look out for a crunching gearbox, they're hit and miss whether they fail or not but its worth listening out for it

What kind of driving do you do in it?

20ish miles per day, I drive like an old lady when the roads are straight but drive a bit more enthusiastically in bendy bits.

That's great thanks. Ill be sure to ask about the belts. The guy at garage did mention that the gearbox had been done by the previous owner just before he decided to sell it.
Ah ok well mine will be used for going to my work and back which is about 50 miles per day ish and it includes motorway driving so I should get a bit better than that. And the occasional blast at the weekends of course!

I used to do 90 miles per day and that cost me £120 per month.

And I've just driven 45 motorway miles, the tc says I got 29.6mpg

It's worth mentioning that the cup chassis is so f**king stiff. It's great fun, but if you switch between a soft car and a clio, it takes its toll on your back lol

£120 a month doing 90 miles a day now that's serious bs.

Girlfriend has a 200 and its a brilliant car slightly better on fuel then mine, but my god it handles amazing corners flat at serious speeds and imo it's a road version go kart

I have that figure wrong. It's been so long since I did that distance lol.

£60 per week, £240 per month sounds better closer. That was purely driving to and from work.

Yeah. I do 20 miles a day now and it costs me £120 per month.

My bad
