New toy - this one's a keeper!

Seeing as the 172 died on me and I have to break it for spares, I decided to buy a 21 year old Mini as a runaround to get me to work and back (crazy I know) and it turned out to be fecking ace!

However, this was only a temporary fixture until I could save up for something decent. I saw this for sale and thought 'WANT!!!!!!!' so I went to have a look at it and it was spot on.

3 years old, 17k on the clock, best colour (nicest blue I've seen on any car) looks ace as standard. It's got a 6-speed box, climate control, Bluetooth radio as standard and all the other gadgets you get on a modern car. It's capable of 50mpg without trying too hard as well. It drove well, I got a bit off the price (which was already an absolute steal) so am happy as pie.

It's only a 1.4 but the noise it makes, even I was impressed with. Seems to go like stink too, in straight lines and around corners, as it weighs around 900kg.

Overall, I'm really impressed. Probably the best all-round car I've owned.

Abarth badges are not standard, but they were fitted by the previous owner and I agree they look ace!

I've always had a soft spot for these. My head says it will be built like a Fiat and its not actually very quick. But they just look fun and from what i hear they drive superbly. Plus i think this goes past the wolf in sheep's clothing. If you take on a Fiat Panda and loose you look more than stupid.

Only available now in white/ grey/ black with silly big door mirrors and no bluetooth anymore, rumour is they are gradually discontinuing them, I work for a fiat dealer btw.

Im not a fan of the abarth badges, i prefer the method i used to make custom OEM fiat badges.

I take it you just spray the backing plate whatever colour you like?

yeah the fiat text it self is embossed into the plastic so you can sand away the blue backing with out damaging the text. Then paint away. If jesus wants the propper guide i can PM it him.

Build quality is one of the best I've been in, nothing at all wrong with it inside or out, Fiat seem to have really excelled themselves with this one and other new Fiats.

It's not slow either! Just been on a spirited drive and it pulled comfortably on a mk5 Fiesta Zetec-s (1.6, 135bhp I think?) and was amazing round corners. I'm leaving it standard!

I've only ever been in a standard bogo panda. So I don't really know the deal on overall differences. One thing I found with them though is that you can actually fit something in the back! Abit of a ram yes but still more than the 500. Looks good, sporty not 'cheap city run'.

Is all the interior the same as a bogo panda? Feels/looks extremely cheap but I guess if it doesn't fall off then it's a win!

Yup there's a lot of boot space for a tiny car! The interior I think is nice, I've got loads of gadgets on a big centre console. 100% improvement on a Clio/21 year old Mini

Awesome car! This is one of those "I don't give a f**k if I look a bit bent, I've got a bigger smile on my face than you" cars.

And yeah, MK5 Fiesta ZS is around 105bhp. Would love to see how it would fair against my old Clio GT, as that was about the same against a ZS!

Personally, I cant get past the looks, much like the ignis sport which is meant to be a blast which is a shame, the 5 door aspect insults my eyes for such a small car too!

But you dont care what I think as you love driving the thing! Fair play that man. You must be hung to drive a car like that lol.
