NEWBIE ADVICE

  Clio Trophy / RB182
Chaps,

Seeing some of the things alot of you lads have done on here has made me very envious...and so i want to jump on the band-wagon.

So might aswell start off with my car...

Would it be possible (without being too extravagent in the cash dept.) for a few people to give me some lists of what products to use...then in what order etc...I will take time to read detailing threads and guides...but when it comes to products..i'm unsure.

All the way from the start would be helpful...even shampoo!

Cheers!

I'm a bit lazy when it comes to waxing but i have found a few products that make the clio sparkle with little effort required :)

first i use autoglym alloy wheel cleaner and let that start working then i use turtlewax shampoo, usually twice the recommended amount, after a couple of minutes scrub the wheels then finish off cleaning the rest of the car, then the cheat bit :), i use demon shine auto wax, just add it to a bucket of water and pour it over the car!, thats it simple as you can get and it does work because i have people asking me about what wax i use all the time.........just remember the most important part of washing a car though..........chamois leather the water off after or it will look horrible with water marks all over it.
I also keep a bottle of autoglym fast glass for general cleaning :)

get a proper drying towel - chammys are harsh to the paint. AG wheel cleaner should only be used rarely on very dirty wheels as its very strong acid and continued use will dull the wheels
