No claims help please!

Right to begin with i have a rover, the policy ends feb 26. They sent me my renewal pack through which says i have 2 years no claims. I want to start a new policy with another company start of feb for my clio 172. My question is can i claim i have 2 years no claims on my new policy or is the 2 years no claims not valid till feb 26th when my current policy runs out? Hope i can scrap my rover this month, dont want to tax it for the sake of a month!

It's not two years until 26th Feb.

As per Revels, you do not accrue the 2nd year of NCB until policy expiry, if claim free.

Some insurers may allow you to use it though and wait for the proof.

Bloody hell gutted! Going to have to tax the rover then cant go without a car for a month, might be able to save and pay the whole year off now thou so not too bad tbh
