No compression

I've just done a head gasket change on my Westfield. Now i've just rebuilt it. It turns over very easily and sounds like there is no compression. I think it could be the fact the tappet will have probally drained dry. So tomorrow i'll keep turning it over till i've filled the head oil.

Any other ideas on what it could be?

cam timing? Maybe a valve is open on the compression stroke, your idea sounds more realistic to me like.

Hmm the cams are timed exactly the same as they were when they cam out. Will take the fucker to peices again tomorrow. Will be something silly like dizzy cap on back wards or lose plugs lol

the 4age's have solid lifters.

You'll want a leakdown test to check where your loosing compression from.

What engine is it Waitey? I had this with a Mitsi engined Hyundai and it scared the fook out of me following a timing chain. Left it over night and the bugger struck up first time the next morning as if nothing was wrong (Stupid hydraulic buckets).
