Number Plate Problems

  Chocolate Bar™
just got my private plates made up and had them cut down a bit.

problem is that i've now got holes from where they have previously been drilled in. should i get them filled and sprayed over - or should i just buy some standard sized number plates.

also, anyone have a rough idea of cost involved in getting them filled and sprayed.

yeah i was thinking around the 50-100 depending how much they had to spray. the smaller plates do look damn good tho it must be said.

will probably end up going full size on the back, and seeing if i can get away with my smaller front one - until of cause it goes into the bodyshop for a load of tidying up lol

....would it look naff if i had a sheet of carbon fibre made to the size of the recess?? and then stuck the little number plate on top. not sure meself, but it might go with the bonnet and other things ive got lol

I've got holes too...:( I'm filling them. then putting a painted circle sticker over them...Bit ghetto but will do.

^^ i considered that - but i laugh at people whove debadged their cars and put bungs in, so its gotta be done right.

i'm seriously tempted to get a nice sheet of carbon fibre and fill the recess with it - its just mega expensive for the good stuff

lol - your not biased at all tho are you.

have got front and backs made small, but completely forgot about the holes, and annoyingly the back holes are right on the edges of the plate - so i'd need a conventionally sized plate to cover them.

am just speaking to some people about having some carbon made up - not cheap tho

very nice plates middo, when you order them what size did you ask for? is there a specific size that they do for smaller plates? the carbon idea would be good i think..

^ me too :D

ive currently got the 'domed 3d' carbon number plates, but have gone off them a bit - but wanted something with a bit of detailing.

garf172 - the above were actually a standard size that they do. i can measure them if your interested though?

I think carbon back plate behind carbon lettering would look pretty cool, and subtle too... do it!

thats what i'm thinking, because ive got carbon bits all over the car, and u dont really notice em till they catch the sun anyway. Bodyshop wants 80 quid to fill in the holes so its worth a go anyway
