Need to take your V5 and certificate of entitlement to your local DVLA office. So long as the name on both pieces of paper match up they will transfer straight away. They will also give you a new tax disc with the new reg number, and an envelope to send the old tax disc back. once you have put the new plates on you will need to put the new tax disc in and vice versa!! Hope this helps.

Some dvla offices change the tax disc there and then.

I had to take the log book, entitlement cert, mot cert , tax disc.

Oh and dont forget to tell your insurance company.

you get a letter expalining you have changed your reg, i think they give you a couple of days or so to change plates but id just double check with them.

What plate did you get btw?
