Obscure question for you.... (Bryan?)

Does anyone know how to remove a radio from a 1998 p11 Primera?? Random I know!

It looks like the radio is sealed into the dash, so i'm guessing the whole panel needs to be removed?

Any ideas?

Thanks.

That sounds like my old mans Celica. I had to remove the gear knob, the leather surround, then the surrounding plastic working my way up to the stereo surround.

When I traded the car in I just left the head unit in, sod going through all that again.

I found instructions how to take it to bits on the net.

God don't tell me that! :(

Spent an hour or so looking online this morning with no luck!

Even signed up to the Nissan Primera forum (yes it does exist!) And its even worse than this place, I can't view the relevant section without paying £15. :(

its easy

if u hadnt but bryan id hhave answered sooner

look at the plate from the top air vents to the bottom ash tray

theres 4 screws angled upwards under 2 of the cross beams

undo all them , take out the ash tray , then it just pulls away.remember the fog lights , heater switch all need to be disconnected.

if yer fitting a new stereo and it does`nt work u need to rewire the earth to a good point

:d
