Dude could you expand a little on the exhaust thing? My 182Cup is blowing and I've yet to get it booked in to have it looked at. How old is your car etc and did the dealer get shirty about doing the exhasut under warranty?

It was found during service, car is 04, exhaust is common prob baffles rot inside become loose and rattle.

No probs at all they found it and are sorting it today free of charge.

My exhaust just sounds like its blowing though? Is this because one of the boxes has fallen apart inside then? Sounds like the nosie is coming from up front - gear stick area

Get a cat back performance system the two of you! I got a blueflame one fitted to my 182 Cup last week and I love it. £250 quid for a catback system. Sports Cat, and Group N chip next on my shopping list.

That's right Roy. Bought it direct from blueframe via ebay at a buy it now price of £250. It's a nice sound, not too loud - makes a lovely sound further up the rev range and is not boomy on the motorway. If you want mate I can mail you a couple of vids that blueflame mailed me of an inferno 182 doing a driveby and pull away. PM me if you want them.

Roy I posted a pic looking down at the exhausts and one of just up under the car on the renaultsport forum a few days back, I took these photos when the separating bar for the exhaust tips wasnt fitted so one the right hand sits a little further out from the car.

Cheers dude I just registered, but I still cant really tell what the tail pipes look like Thanks for all your help though mate, I am strongly thinking about just getting one and not bothering booking the car in to have the dealer rip the exhaust apart 40 times and still not fix it.

Stupid question though. Where is the cat fitted in the OEM system? Is it the first joint after the manifold? My worry otherwise is that if my existing leak is before the cat, it wont actually solve anything by addding the cat-back? Dumb question but entertain me please

Yeh maybe i should of taken a side on image like above....the cat is straight before the centre box and that is fixed to the down pipe from the manifold, although i can remember if the pipe from the manifold is welded to it or clamped - probably clamped. Seriously Roy I think you will like the blueflame system and it is a very good price.

What I dont want is a boomy sytem that throbs on the motorway and annoys the sh*t out of me, but I know you already said it doesnt...hmmmm I might be getting the credit card out...

No way 10bhp - but i took that with a pinch of salt. When i first got it fitted I noticed the difference straight away pulled away so much cleaner, cos the centre box is no longer there. But after a day or two you get used to the improvement so you forget how the car used to be before. Get the card out mate!
