Main problem with that is that its at pissy world - wouldn't touch them for a system - unless you can get a Managers special on the cheap - and if you do get one, haggle! I got 75 pounds of quid off what was an already low price.

I am sorting out my knackered one no more.Sometimes you just have to smash the old one and move on.Don't need a monitor though and l have a new HD which could be fitted and Vista Home Premium....

Is this one any good for browsing, copying (my) CD's,YouTube, oriental p**n etc ?

If so l can pick it up today :)

PMSL! Nowt like being honest!

PB are entry level at absolute best. Their support online is truly shocking and they use the most basic components avialable.

Building one yourself is a much better option. But be warned - that price above could easily quadruple if you start getting the bits you really want. ;)

don't touch anything with a Celeron in it, as said they are f**king dire, they make PCs as useful as paperweights.

If I was you Dave I'd either give them a call or drive over and have a chat with them.

Unlike PC World where Kevin or Sanjay is just after commission Micro Direct should be able to answer any questions you have and advise you which system best meets your needs.

if you already have an operating system to install why not buy without to start with = cheaper

I wouldnt worry about brands tbh they essentially use all the same components and skimp on stuff like power suppy units and extra internal connectivity..which you prolly wont need??

but after sales stuff is generally better with the big brand manufacturers - depends how handy u are a fixing stuff.

btw pc world sales ppl arent on personal commission anymore havent been for 3 years. But they still get 'team bonusues' for s/w service attachments..

Just phoned Microdirect...very helpful. They have it in stock and l can pick it up tomorrow.

OS is pre-installed so i'll sell my new one.

Cheers Griff :)

Cool - but you wont be able to sell the OS if its an OEM copy preinstalled on a machine.. MS forbids it!

Retail copy = okay to sell on
