Original Xbox Modding - XBMC

Wondered has anyone ever had a good use of a original xbox with the media center installed?
Spoke to a mate of mine and he said you can do wonders with them...? Stream movies from your PC, fast internet, play various file types.
Hardrive's moddable to 120gb+ with games on etc

Are they really that good? Thinking of buying one from another mate.

Yeh, its all do-able.

Buy a 360/PS3, you can do all that out the box and then you get good games, too.

you can get them chipped with all the games so all you do it just turn it on and you select your game from the list A-Z and away it loads. quality back in the day!

Didn't realise that. Are they worth a purchase or should i just stick with the PS3?
