Paint shades

Guys, I bought a 02 172 on the weekend with only 60500 on the clock, car is immaculate....Someone pointed out to me that the wings look a a different colour to the car and it might of had a nasty front end bump ?

I opened the bonnet and looked around the engine bay and it is like new, there are no signs of damaged/repaired body/steel in there, it is like new ....

I took it to a local body shop and he said the same, it hasnt had a front end bump, it might of had a spray to remove stone chips etc....
The colour is metalic silver, it looks like a pearlesunt paint and when the light catches it, it looks different to the rest of the car, but its the way the light catches it....anyone have this colour paint and the same views on this paint?

The local sprayer said that the plastic wings, bumpers etc...will always look a diffrenet shade to the steel painted areas of the car.:S ...

I would say you mean its Iceburg silver got a hint of blue to it and alot of people say the wings can sometimes look different colour when the light hits it,nothing to worry about

all clio mk2 clio front ends look a different colour due to the plastic front wings, the paint has a different shade due to how the paint appears on plastic to metal.

if you look at cars in your street quite a few of the bumpers will be out to the actual car too.

Not sure of the exact colour name...Yep it looks Blue in different lights and then Silver in other lihgts....It's just someone mentioned it to me and now its in my head....would there be any thing I could look for to see if they have been painted?

Bang on, Painted loads of bumpers at the same time with body shells and 90% of the time they look like the wrong shade.
