Panel Filter

Its hard to tell if there is much difference to be honest. I purchased it to replace a Pipercross filter which had fallen to bits.

When I purchased the Pipercross there was maybe a small difference at low revs but barely noticable. When I purchased the ITG Id had a Magnex cat back system put on so any difference was very hard to notice.

Had my itg panel on from new so nothing to compare, but my previous experiences with panels are that they dont make the car faster so much as more driveable - the car revs more freely and often fuel consumption is a bit better, but of course cos its more driveable you end up driving it more so you kind of cancel out the fuel thing.

IMO anything that stops the engine wasting power sucking air in is a good thing.

Id agree with that. :D

My itg panel filter came from Merlin (£47 inc del) this morning and fiited it straight away. Car seems to accelerate a bit faster than with my K&N IK which was recently removed and much better than the standard filter that I was using for a few days until my itg came. Its a well smart looking thing too and its a shame you cant see it once its installed!

Are you boys still running the disconected main inlet pipe to the airbox?

I think it makes the induction a little louder especialy with the ITG... IMHO
