Parrot or Connects2 ?

Looking for some advice on what to go for, not entirely sure on how they both work to be honest so an explanation would be great.

I have an iPhone 3GS so would need either to work with this and would like it to work from a standard Clio head unit (tape deck type, 2002 car)

I assume both the Parrot and the Connects need to be connected to the phone to work, however my girlfriend has Spotify which is pretty good can it run/play this (i.e. what ever is playing on the phone) or does it need to be through your iPod?

I would probably like it to work via the steering wheel controls, I'm I right in saying there are 2 options for the Connects, one where volume can be controlled and the other where you can change track, volume etc?

Any help would be great.

Which head unit version is it ? I.e tuner list or update list ?

How do I find this out? Have heard this going about!

It should say it on the front of the head unit mine says update list , basically if its an update list you can buy a cable for about 7 quid on ebay or you could even make your own ( i did) it will not give wheel controls but gives you a basic aux in for music and calls etc
