Zip the folder and lock it with a password using winzip/ winrar. You then have to delete the original and empty the waste bin... quite a bit of hassle.
I just hide sub folders in the windows directory or in an obscure program folder then change the icon to a program one instead of a folder one if I really dont want anybody to find certain things on my PC. Has worked so far.
