do a search for anything modified in the last day.
Set your power on password in the bios now before it happens to you again.

Are you worried someone found your pron.

There are various logs for everything on your computer, forensically speaking.

If you want an easy way for some things try this:

Start -> Run -> eventvwr

This will tell you when it was turned on.

As for accessing the net then you ned to check for internet logs, such as cache and history let on the machine.

Need any help, just us a shout.

As already said Event Viewer (also found under Adminastrative tools) is the best option but this inly applies to Windows XP and wasn't present in the previous versions of Windows.

Yeah, if there are entries and your computer wasn't on then someone has at least turned it on.

To get some more information about each entry you need to double-click an entry.
