But I have no sound, my monitor has external speakers only, which I havent got plugged in, does that mean I'll need them for sound? or seperate sound for my tv?

you need the single green tipped wire that you normally plug into the back of speakers.

ive got my plasma running cliosport at the moment and still need the green tipped wire for mine

My TV has a 3.5mm input above the DVI slot takes a standard 3.5mm jack as stated above. Depends how rubbish your TV is really! :p

Tv seems to have pretty much every connection..

Ive plugged the green end into my comp and the red and white into the "audio" bit on the back of my tv and still no sound! :(

mine is an LG and has the 3.5mm jacks also next to the RGB/DVI output.

you deffo need a secondary lead, or you could run the sound through a secondary sound processor like a dolby unit if you wanted

The red and white go into a 2-1 converter that goes into the input section on the chair..

Ive tried the red and white in all the diff connections on the back of the tv and it wont work! :(

So what exactly do I need to buy? In stooopid person terms please!!

See, thats still basically foreign! lol

Start using colours instead of complicated names!

I dont want it via my chair, I want the sound via the TV but I dont understand why it wont work!! :(

Green in my PC > Red/White in the TV (of which there are 3 lots) and it still doesnt work!

right green in pc red and white in the converter you use for your chair ok now you have the same connecter as the green one yes ?
stick that in teh hole next to the place you plugged your pc into your tv

Im blonde! Thats why you have to speak slowly!

Didnt see that behind the tv, but ive got it now!

Legend! Thankyou!! :D

Yup! All working fine.. Thanks! :D

Next question, while you're here! ;)

Ive got my PC connected now and DVD rips playing fine, quality is good!

Ive ordered a DVD player that has HDMI.. What will be better quality, the rips playing via an external HD connected via USB and then HDMI to the TV or the rips on the PC connection?

Ahh okies. It wont be an expensive card as its a pretty bog standard PC.

I'll just try them both out when it gets here! Cheers for your help! :)
