My Computer has cought some type of bad virus. Start it up and 3/10 times it freezes at log in, then if I do pass login, 8/10 it will freeze during upload..

Ino before login appears there is a way of wipeing the computer to start although it was new.. But how do you do it!? I can get the menu up but don't know the proccess to boot and wipe the whole computer.

Or is there any other way to sort things? Any help would be great!

Just as a question, what makes you think its a virus? I've seen similar issues on an overheating system or faulty hardware.

Also, is it a laptop (a relatively new one) if so, easy as pie to do as it has all the recovery built into it.

Could be anything. No offence but I get the impression you should either get someone to have a look at it, or throw it away and replace it. Goat p**n, past or present, would normally necessitate the latter option.

Does Windows load ok in safe mode?

Erm no it's a 3year old Sony vaio system (VGC-VA1) flat screen all in one tv/PC

Defo a virus as when it 1st happened pop ups told me but they have gone now :S

I'd rather not get someone to fix it as it has content that can't be shown ( GF she wouldn't be happy if anything was found)

Then take the stuff off it that you don't want being found beforehand? External hard drive, usb pen, upload it to dropbox, a few ways of getting round it.

Its not a difficult thing to do, but if your not really sure what your doing (which i get the impression your not) then I wouldn't recommend doing it yourself.
