perspex windows

i am thinking of lightneing my car by replacing the rear winows with something like perspex, does any one know if they are comercially avaible or are they a diy job ? and are there any legal requirements for road cars ?

Airedale Race Components do them do a search on yahoo, beware they do scratch very easily and IMHO are for race cars only.
