PH1 Owner from Devon

  172 ph1
Hi all,

Just purchased my first clio after owning various cars over the years.

I've joined the forum for advice and knowledge for bits that may crop up from time to time.

The Clio I've just purchased has a cliosport.net decal in rear window so I assume the cars previous owner/owners were members of the forum at some point.

I'm located near Exeter in Devon, hope there are a few members local to me somewhere.

Will post some photo's once I've given the car a complete valet and polish as I doubt it's been done for some time.

Cheers
Andy

Welcome to CS ;)

Plenty of us in the area. We have our main monthly meet in Exeter too, on the second Friday of the month. Have a look in the South West forum for the thread. If you post in it, you should get notified if the details are different to normal.

Hope to see you along sometime, and feel free to ask if you have any problems.

The PH1 is a X reg
Silver
Ktr Stealth cat back
Aluminium bonnet
Shift light model
All other standard spec as far as I'm aware.
The car has so many receipts with it and has been really well looked after mechanically, just needs a few bits doing on body work but nothing major.

Main bits to sort at the moment are rear exhaust mount, sticky throttle, and possible rear hub bearing.

I meant the full reg. Might come up on a search.

Its worth paying £12 for full membership mate. You'll save loads on discounts and you'll get access to the whole site including the market place and guides. Well worth it IMO. You'll also be able to use out traders section too on where we receive discount on genuine Renault parts from Renault Wolverhampton, which in turn pays for itself.

Do you have a saggy exhaust then? Throttle cable from Renault is £25 and rear brakes are £100 and they have new bearings pressed in.

Just about to sort out my membership.... :)

Found rear brakes (mintex) with bearings already pressed for £67 with pads.
Gonna try and lube up throttle cable as I'm pretty sure it works the same as a mtb brake/gear cable with getting dry etc and running poorly. (Cycle Mechanic by trade)
Got a standard exhaust mount on order so see how that goes.
