Seems dry up under the dash etc so not coming in from the bay, just removed the plugs under the where the seat bolts are and a load of water drained out, any ideas guys?

Just sat in the car and had my sister 2 use the hose all over the car and nothing at all came in, but what I did notice was 1 of the plugs where the seat bolts go under the car was not quite flush when I looked earlier, do u think this could be the reason for the water in the car?

Don't think it would be an under car issue though could be a cause.
Got a plug missing on the drivers seat on my ph2 and I'm having no issues.
Sounds daft but have you checked to see if the problem happens when you use the rear wiper washer jet?
Not to far from Rhondda myself and I'm up in porth quite a lot to see the misses so if you want a fresh set of eye's to have a look give us a shout.

i had this with my old 172 cup , i was getting water in the pass side front foot well i stripped the full interior out and couldnt find where it was coming from it really bugged me cos the car started steaming up inside its really annoying.

could be something from under the car though try that mate

Re: Water in footwells

Cheers bud, fitted the cap on tidy, soaked up most of the water so now the carpet is just a bit damp, had terrible rain today and it hasn't got any worse so fingers crossed :)

Re: Water in footwells

Today since I took it out for a drive there's water again but not in the footwells but just from under the drivers seat? Where's the drainage holes?

Re: Water in footwells

Is it possible for the water come through the heaters (under the drivers seat)

Possible yes, probably...no. Not unless the piping had some tears or leaks.
Though you could try finding out by putting the blowers as cold as you can and putting the fan on full. See if anythings being spat through.

Re: Water in footwells

looked under scuttle (drivers side) and there was a puddle of water in the corner , i take it this aint normal ? also removed the rear seats and all is dry under them so its not coming from the boot ..

Sounds stupid but this car does get driven? Not a project type sat in the garage.

If it does get driven then check your front jacking points. They'll split and even the smallest of gaps will allow the water to filter along between the skin of the car. Obviously aswell with your rear footwell being the furthest point your have a lot sat their but that one whole side should be quite wet.
