phone wont connect to pc

saying the usb has malfuctiond? was working perfectly the other day, any ideas?

tried restarting or reinstalling drivers if its not plug and play?

Reboot the computer. restart the phone. once the computer's ready to go reconnect the phone using the same USB port you did last time. See if it works.

I always found Nokia's a bit funny about connecting over USB. They'd work then not and always required a reboot to work for some reason :/

if i was rich!, its a samsung, ive re installed the pc suite, re started the pc, and nothing? :S

dodgy cable?

do the usb sockets work with other things? if not, it could be faulty connections to the motherboard.

it charges my phone via the pc, so i presume the cables fine

I don't think charging will not use all of the connectors on the usb cable tho. I don't know for definate tho, try another cable or another pc maybe.

Just read:

A USB cable has two wires for power (+5 volts and ground) and a twisted pair of wires to carry the data.

So possible that the data wires are at fault.

Com port correctly selected? You selected PC suite on your phone when it prompts you/changed your connectivity in settings?

Tried different USB ports?
