photoshop from a 'friend'

Hi,

I got photoshop from one of my 'friends', what i was wondering is i have a fairly new camera and it doesnt let me edit RAW photos atm, can i still update PS or how do i go about it?

Any help is appreciated!

What photoshop? What camera?

There is sometimes updates/plugins, but other than that, you can't just update to the new version without paying.

Yeah you can still upgrade to the latest version of Camera Raw.

I often have this trouble.

I have a D5000, You can get the plug in from adobe.com

He's using a Nikon though

If the software is genuine you'll be able to get updates from Adobe to use RAW files.

Open PS, open the Help tab. click on Updates.
