I've left mine on them for ages.
Its not recomended though. Best stick some other supports under at the same time.

They can wobble about is thed cars hsock and it might fall hence the warning.

Then again I've realy shook mine when its been on stands.

if you use use decent quality axle stands (ie not halfords ones) you'll be fine
