Pioneer TS-Q131C (direct swap speakers)

Hey guys,

I just picked up Pioneer TS-Q131C, the direct swap Renault speakers. I've been searching through the forums and have been getting conflicting information as some people are saying in order to replace the tweeters I will have to remove the dash and some others are saying phase 2's you can simply pop the tweeter grills.

Can anyone confirm that with phase 2's these tweeters can be fitted w/out dash removal?

The grille covers on the top of the dash just twist and then lift out, then its a bit of a squeeze but if you've got small fingers you can unclip the tweeters get them out through the holes.

Its easier to take the whole dash off though.

i took the dash top off to do mine (easy job). the grilles don't actually line up with the speaker basket underneath, which is pretty useless really. you can probably get them in without removing dash, but risk damaging them imo

I have these speakers and not fitted the tweeters for this reason. I couldn't do it by just taking the grilles of so when I have more time I pop the top of the dash off.
