Polished inlet manifold pitted

I had it polished 2 years when the car was new, but i forgot to clean it 2-3 months ago.
It now has a pitted ,road salt marks? on it. How can i get it back mark free?

Light pitting may come out with metal polish. Deeper marks will probably need a more attention.
