personally i would remove it just because it would be easier mate. Only takes a few minutes to take off anyway!!!

i had mine off last week to do the plugs. tbh i was worried about it being difficult but theres like 8 10 mil bolts and four torx bolts on the throttle body and the whole thing lifts off. there might be a thread on here on how to do it mate

i didnt take mine off to do it for the same reasons your on about, didnt want to get into somthing i didnt need to but now ive taken it of a few time and as long as you remeber where things go its simple mate so i would take it off as well.

Tried doing mine in-situ, it's a pain in the arse trying to get at it so I took it off to do it (not that I've finished it yet ) plus all the dust that comes of it all goes in to the engine bay.

Taking it off is the easy bit, its getting it back on with that poxy rubber o ring seated properly is the pain in the ass.

Just take your time mate, you'll be fine.
