Just bought a 172 and ive noticed that the rear end will slightly slide everytime i go round a bend be it at 30mph or 50mph..do i need to get a new set up as its on the standard suspension,or is tyhere something more seriously wrong with the car..If i need a new sospension setup who would i go to see about it

got under the car yesterday to check the shocks and there are no leaks...the car past its mot only last week aswell...i know it sounds crazy but it feels as if the bak end of the car wants to drift round any bend i take at speed...i cant even take a roundabout at no more than 20mph because the back end will start to slide..help

seriously, the only thing i can think of that would make it as bad as you say is the rear shocks being shot to buggery.

unless you have no rear suspension at all of course

Right i managed to get the car down to my local garage today and when they got it up on the ramps the r/o/s shock is leaking...so would it be sensible in just replacing that one shock or to get a whole new set of koni adjustables as the garage has said that is whats causing the problem..What doesnt help is also the fact that my tracking is out aswell
 
would renew at least both rear shocks, if you are going to be replacing with koni yellows then might aswell do it now
