Your looking at £500 top £600 i think but thats not including taking the head off and replacing it.
Get cams, manifold work a decat and an Induction kit with cold air intake along with a remap instead.
Gains you'd have to talk to BenR but you'd need manifold work anyway realy to get the best front it as thats the restriction more than the head first off.
Head work, manifold work, cams, decat, IK exhaust will get you to 200hp or there abouts. A Mk1 172 owner with regrind gams has just got 195hp with custom cams (more xpensive) you'd be looking at just over 200hp.

Pricing depends on what is planning to be done, i do not do a set level of headwork as such and i need a few questions answered to offer you the best specification and value for money.
But typically, headwork would have to be done in conjunction with manifold work otherwise the manifold is still restricting things by a massive amount. Just under 200 is available with headwork and manifold work. 190-196 with manifold work and cams, over 200 with all three.
No option is cheap, get some decient brakes and coilover thats much better value.
I think your looking at £2.5k for 200hp.
There no point IMO just head work especially as you need to remap might as well stick cams an manifold work on the bill and then its a waste not getting as decat and induction kit.
