Had my friend ask me to do a pre-sale tidy up on his A4. Car was in pretty good nick anyway but he was confident I could make it better, something I think I've managed quite well
Apologies in advance for the poor pictures.
Anyway here it is before
So to begin - snowfoam.
Magifoam + a dash of G101
Whilst that was doing its job I started on the wheels and arches.
A strong mix of G101 and my vikan brush worked well on the arches...
And the same mix on the tyres, a tip I nicked from a pro to ensure the tyre gel sticks better
Wonder wheels - hot wheels mixed 1-1 with water to clean the already pretty clean wheels, used my megs yellow wheel brush and the small brushes again. Wheels ideally need a refurb, so didn't spend too much time on these.
This was the best wheel , finished,
Back to the bodywork and I rinsed the snowfoam off and refoamed it again, this time going around the intricate bits and the roof with a weak concentration of G101 and a brush, then washing the car with auto finesse lather in my 2 buckets and my awesome car pro wash mitt. The mitt is epic btw!
Nice and clean before and after tardis and iron x (don't like using these on a black car, its really difficult to see it doing anything )
Used megs clay and some diluted deamon shine spray on shine
Due to the limited time I had with this car I decided to use poorboys black hole on this car, should make it look decent enough for the new owner.
Here are the results, not sure if I was expecting too much from black hole but I was disappointed with the result. An obvious improvement but should it be better? Opinions?
Dressed the plastics with auto finesse revive, also put it on the silver bits as I find it works well but only for a day or so, any recommendations what to use on these in future? Might be doing a mates RCZ soon and I want to get them spotless on his car
Used the glass cleaner I got in this months waxybox on the glass. Have to say I'm pretty impressed with this stuff so far. Gonna try it on my focus first before committing to buying a bottle of it.
And finally a wipe down with sonax xtreme brilliant shine that I also decided to try from this months waxybox. Yet to see in person the water behaviour of this stuff but it leaves the car nice and shiny so does what it says in the tin I suppose. Pretty difficult to buff off I find but 2 microfibres sort that out
Tyres shined with megs endurance. Just a few afters then (excuse the dirty tailpipes, can't find my metal polish )
Hopefully the new owner will be happy with it
Comments and criticisms welcome as always, happy to learn from any mistakes I've made
