Preparation for starting a DERV that hasn't run for a long time...

Any pointers?

Good friend of mine has a car that's not seen daylight in about 2 years, its a 2003 car, well looked after, just not been run in a long time.

Any pointers much appreciated.

Just the basics mate check oil and no fuel leaks etc if your really persistent a oil and filter and some fresh fuel, bonnet open as well and somebody ready to knock it of case it runs up/leaks fuel !

I figured prime the fuel pumps first before starting, I've heard of VAG fuel lines cracking and pissing diesel mist everywhere.
