Whats the score with buying Jap/US versions of the console? Will it only play them region games and is it region-free?

Yeah the games are but not old PS1 or PS2 games, Also DVDs are still regio locked but at the moment Blu-Ray are not region locked!

he he he I just got one and it's amazing im in hong kong the now and thinking of bring one back to sell but worried i cant get it shifted what are people willing to pay over in the uk the now?
mines cost me $5200 dollers thats about 340 quid
I got the 60gb one with 2 wireless contollers 3 games
another thing they are bloody heavy and they heat up quite bad

^^ that is a bargain, only thing that would stop me is the fact its a Jap version i.e language problems with instructions etc..
