Question from a Newbie...

Hi all,

just found the board and wondered if you guys can help.

Got a MK2 172 Sport. It has done 11k miles and is a peach. It has recently developed a rattle which comes in at 4k rpm and lasts until 4.5k rpm. (or about 85 mph in 5th).

Definately somewhere in the interior and sounds like it is in the passenger side, perhaps under the seat.

I realise this is a fairly vague description but am hoping someone may have had exactly the same proble.

Its a common problem, I think when I looked at Kathys the rattle was coming from inside the side of the dash where it touches the door.
