Questions About Spraying RS Grill

Right, ive jut bought an rs grill. Its tht faded black colour, so i want to spray it black.
what black would be best ? Gloss black or satin black?
would i have to sand it down? Ive seen people do i without nd get same job.
what you guys reckon?

I sanded on my first one and sprayed it matt black and it looked fine and lasted fine. On my new one i sprayed satin black without sanding and again, looks good and has lasted fine so far.

So i am a little help but not much ! Satin black looks pretty good but not sure if it will look out of place if your plastics on your bumpers are matt black.

Aahhh okay mate nice one, well i have a gloss black rs grill on now and looks fine, but damaged it now so needed new one. Whats difference between matt black and satin black? Satin shinier?

I sprayed mine satin black.

Matte = Not shiny at all.
Satin = OEM look, not very shiny but shinier than Matte.
Gloss = Very Shiny.

Hmmm i duno what t choose, satin or gloss!? Haha. Did you sand yours down mate?

Just gave it a good rub down with scotch pad, primed and painted, biggest ball ache was getting the grille off lol

Well i got one on at the min but its cracked near enought in half, bought a new so its already on. Got my old one off piece of cake. Were wud i get scotch pad from cheap enough for a quick job?

Not at all mate, the surface was quite rough from weathering,
so nature had done the job for me. :approve:
