Quick question

  LY 182
Hey guys,

Gonna be giving the LY a good going over as it's new. However, I believe there is some good wax protection still there. However being a fairly keen detailer / just being excited about a new car and wanting to pamper it I wanna give it a bit of a going over.

What do I need to do to remove existing wax and such? I want to have a play with a few paint cleansers and some new wax stuff I have so I guess I need to be working from the start really with perhaps a clay, polish, paint cleanse and wax.

Just needing to clarify as I'm not 100% sure.

Cheers. :approve:

what i would do is, go to halfrauds and buy there own brand budget shampoo which is guaranteed to take off the existing wax! then clay do make sure its all off.

other way of doing it is adding small amount of APC into a snow foam mixture which will also clean the wax off.

then start your cleansing/polish/wax :)

By the time you have snowfoamed with an apc mix or similar, washed, clayed, polished and cleansed, there will no wax left for you to worry about. Go ahead then with your fresh applications and layer as you wish.
