Can you fit mk2 front shocks and springs to a mk1 rt?

Doubt it but need confirmation

I'd think so but why bother they won't be right spec.
Anweay you nedd to get the hub distance right thats the problem.

It was just to get the car moving again! But we managed to sort it once we got a good proper look, an angle grinder and some spacers!!
