Random ads keep popping up

Hi

Never had this problem before but since yesterday i keep getting random ads popping up on my screen.

I am running microsoft security essentials and pop up blockers turned on.

Any ideas on how i can find out what is causing it.

oh, worth installing spybot search and destroy too. I managed to find a couple of things with that which Avira didn't pick up on (all of which windows security and Mcafee had missed. over 30 instances of malware in total)

I had this a while back and ran Malware bytes, Mcaffee, Spybot and a couple of other bits and pieces and it still came back. I just reimaged my PC and solved it that way as it was going to be quicker than trying to fix it!
