Refurbished Laptops on Ebay

Anyone ever bought one? basically my current one is on the blink again, and is really frustrating, so i am after a cheap replacement.. I was thinking about the IBM Thinkpads?

i bought a refurbed tv off ebay, it broke 3 months later and had no guarantee left either.

ebay is w**k these days, be careful.
