remap

As my first post/thread says on the point of getting a 197sport and not test drove one yet, but want to get it sorted as soon as, is there much benifit from a good remap on renaults?

imo on 197 no as the power delivery is smooth anyway (although i haven't driven a re-mapped one). 1*2 only really benefit as the original maps are crap

the power delivery is really good on the 197s anyway, mine is brilliant. I have not driven a remapped one but apparently there is no 5k kick at all its just really grunty through out the whole rev range, it does sort out the turbo lag effect from 2k below, but if your below 2k your not drivin it right!

It would work better with panel filter and exhaust for sure maybe thats something to think about. When i have the cash im gonna get it all done at the same time.

Mines mapped

It's a matter of choice, I got mine done by a friend so it didn't cost me too much. You can definately tell the difference though, low down torque is more noticable. Just feels quicker!
