Remote Central Locking Range

I have 2 keys for my Trophy and both of them work to remote central lock the car but the range its absoultely terrible, probably about 2 or 3 metres tops. So I thought its probably the batteries being low, so I change both batteries in both keys and it made no difference at all

Is this a common thing on RenaultSports or I do I have some other problem thats causing this?

I think they're always like that mate, not that I have any idea why you'd want to locl/unlock your car from any further away? Unless you have really long arms and forgot something out of the boot?

Just thought it was f**ked as i've never owned a car with a range so bad.
