Is it possible to use the standard clio sterring rmote control unit to function other radios than the stanard clio one?

yup, with the correct adapter cable (before u ask u can get em from Halfords!!)

erm... it depends on the make of HU u wanna buy. it goes from the stalk remote to the back of the head unit. i can remember somethin bout it connecting under the clock display too. U will have to remove the dash to fit it tho

its a sony unit ive got, but sounds like more effort than its worth to connect it

nah not really... i got a sony too. it took me about 40 mins to do the job. hardest part is removing the top part of the dash, but if u become a member then theres a guide telling u exactly what to do

what excatly do i need to buy to do this for my sony unit and how much, whats the adapter thing called?

go into halfords and tell em u got a sony HU and want the remote cable for it to fit a clio. the leads are all the same for a sony.. its the make of car that makes the difference. From memory i think its caled a "smart cable" but i could be wrong.
