I'm outside removing my brake calipers (god bless wireless) do I take the brake fluid reservoir off the caliper or off the end going into the car?

Thanks!

Brake fluid reservoir on a caliper ?? Just undo the brakeline going into the caliper mate . Get plenty of rags ready for the fluid that will spill out , then either used a clamp for the brake line of stick something in the end of the pipe to stop it leaking out .

And whatever you do " DON'T " get brake fluid on any of the paintwork , its as good as paint stripper and will fcuk it up bigtime .

You painting up your calipers mate ??

Just tie up the caliper onto the suspension spring so the weight of the caliper isn't gonna damage or kink the brakeline .

The bolts for the caliper are pretty tight , better of using a socket rather than a spanner . If its really tight you could try tapping the socket wrench with a hammer to crack it open but usually just pushing down hard on it should be enough .

Just puta bit of loctite thread compound on the bolts when you put the bolts back in .

Thanks mate!! Very helpful, thing is it is 18mm rather than 17mm and I don't have a 18mm socket, going to have to use a hammer with the spanner!

Do I turn the bolt clockwise or anticlockwise.

Sorry mate i just nipped out . Can't remember off the top of my head but i'm almost certain its a 17mm spanner / socket .

Anticlockwise on . On a right handed thread ( normal ) if you think " clock to lock " !

13mm and 17mm spanners to remove the caliper mounting bracket to replace your pads .
