removing headunit

i need to remove my standard hu, ive searched the forum and from what i can find, u only have to shove a coat hanger in all four holes and the hu just pops out, surely it cant be that simple? :S

cheers mate thats great, so you jus have to put coathangers in, then sorta push them out towards the doors like, n then it jus pulls out?

yeah that's it. The reason you apply a bit of sideways pressure is so it tends to pull the head unit back towards you rather than just pulling the coathangers back out. As soon as it pulled out a bit you can just get hold of it without the coat hangers. You can just slide it back. The coathangers just release a clip.
