Rev limit? Who needs it

  182/RS2/ Turbo/Mk1
Should think thats on solids?

I used to rev my old nova engine to 8500rpm, sounded epic with those rpm and 2 bar of boost.

Pistons speeds on an F4R at those rpm will be pretty horrific though of course.

Looking at his description, there is no mention of anything internal like that mate - scary if it's still on standards and it's driven like that all the time lol

Cant see the standard rockers tolerating that for long, and sure as hell the standard rod bolts would be on borrowed time, and TBH the lifters themselves I would want at those rpm for long, then the pistons arent ideal either not to mention the standard rods and valves, in fact pretty much everything, lol.
On my nova to do a bit more than that rpm I was on steel crank, arrow steel rods, forged pistons, ARP rod bolts and head studs, solid lifters and one piece valves, its an expensive business going for big rpm unless you just buy a honda ;)

My thoughts exactly, iv seen what that RPM does to lifters lol, but lets be honest, who would bother fitting a Honda engine? If you did that you would at least have to turbo it.

Oh wait...... ;)

That must of been a very long straight to be doing that speeds for that long!

Also noticed his MPG was actually rising towards the end up to 33mpg, at 150mph haha.

Wouldnt fancy that though, would go boom!
