road tax(yes i know we've chatted about it before!)

  182/Bora V5/S1 RS Turbo
Im an MOT tester....boring i know. Ive got into the habit of looking at tax discs to see what individual cars pay.Now my clio 182 is a late 2004 model which according to our state of the art emissions machine is breathing fresh air almost and i pay £115 for 6 month at the mo like most of you guys. A '99 Subaru impreze WRX STI estate misfire on wheels came in.Now this car is almost ten years old,has a turbo the size of a dustbin lid etc but yet the 6 month tax was £99. WTF? im certainly confused.I did a run from kent to berkshire in the clio and managed 48mpg at a speed of 40-60 varying. No impreza will do that. Anyone got a clue? cos if im missing something i wanna piece of it ffs

  106 GTi
Its stupid.

My GTi is £200 (I think) but if it was a year newer it would be £300.

Dirty bloody 106's ...

I am getting a pre 2001 Ferrari and paying cheaper tax than a 182 owner lol

Dirty old cars FTW

More to the point, you got 48mpg on a cross-country run??
M25 monday mornin 6.00 til 7.00. it went to 48.2 but came back down as the traffic moved into the variable speed limit of heathrow. to be honest my mpg has gone up since using mobil 1 instead of elf oil.

  VW Caddy Van
Buy a jap import or a yank tank, they all pay road tax for a 1998 1.6 as they can't force them to run by our emissions laws. Think in a year or 2's time my next car'll be an import
